Hay Creek Apple Festival

Families will also enjoy scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, old fashion wagon rides, and Hay Creek’s apple barrel express ride! (In the event of rain some of these activities may be operating on a limited basis.).

Homemade apple pies, apple dumplings, apple crisp, apple fritters, apple cider, chicken pot pie and Mabel’s kettle-cooked soups (ham & bean, beef vegetable and chicken noodle) are available to purchase to take home or to eat at the festival. An all you can eat apple pancake breakfast with sausage will take place Saturday and Sunday morning from 7 to 10 am and will be served in our inside dining area.

The Joanna Furnace buildings will also be open with living history presentations and demonstrations.

A flea market will take place both days where visitors can purchase everything from household, antique, vintage, children’s toys and clothing, and craft / home décor items.

The Hay Creek Apple Festival take place Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 7 am to 3 pm. Parking is located on the historic Joanna Furnace site – three miles north of Morgantown, PA off of Route 10. Turn at Furnace Road. Admission is free to the event but a donation will be collected at the gate which will benefit the preservation of the 26-acre historic Joanna Furnace site.
